During the coal transportation,coal material in the train is rugged, spilled due to limitations of the coal loading mode,So the coal material shall be smoothed to avoid the phenomenon of flying, and improve efficiency, safety and reliability. Currently,poor loading quality, low efficiency, low degree of automation, high labor intensity,the smooth equipment failure and many other problems exist in the coal loading system which need to be improved.The traditional smooth plate is generally rectangular blade, simple flat plane for lump coal issue is not only inefficient but also very deformable. In this paper, the study objects are the designing of the smooth plate shape structural optimization and control theory, and focus on the force analyze of the smooth plate during the working process, and do the microscopic simulation by the finite element software. The mechanics of movement and the contact mechanics were analyzed with the discrete element method, the movement of coal material and the variation of the interaction force are analyzed theoretically on the basis of determining the coal material model.The loading model is setted up with the PFC3 D software according to the actual parameters of coal granules. The dynamic simulation of smoothing process is made,and obtain the change in the microscopic distribution of materials and different moments of interaction. The study on the above theory can provide a theoretical basis for optimization of the smooth plate.In this paper, the main problem of low loading quality and poor loading efficiency exists, the smooth plate is designed in aspects of lump coal smoothing problem. The three-dimensional designing of the integrally equipment is made with the 3D modeling software of Pro/E and selected the auxiliary equipment which can lead to intuitive understanding of the work and connections of each part of the device.In order to improve the degree of automation equipment, the appropriate PLC control program is designed for each part of the automatic control according the smoothing workflow which can control the corresponding part automatically in accordance with the smooth flow. Different coal mines have different marking requirements after smooth of coal material, automatic sprinkler is designed to mark.That can reduce labor intensity and cost and improve the efficiency of loading.According to the industry tests, the design of new system not only solved the problem of variable type, while leveling effect has been greatly improved. The automatic control program improves the reliability of the equipment which can reduce production costs.
