Acetic acid is one of the most important chemical raw materials in chemical production,derived from acetate out hundreds of products and raw materials, such as vinyl acetate,terephthalic acid(PLA), acetate fibers and metal acetates, chloroacetic acid, acetic acid and polyvinyl alcohol vinegar, etc. Because acetic acid is widely used in chemical production pesticide, dye, the basic organic synthesis, textile, food, pharmaceutical, paint, adhesives and other departments, domestic production of acetic acid has been in short supply for many years,therefore, extensive development of acetic acid industry is closely linked to the productive sectors of the national economy.Domestic demand for acetic acid production is greater than the supply. acetic acid consumption was 1.6 million tons in 2004, China’s acetic acid derivatives and raw materials demand is growing exponentially in recent years, growing and fast-growing markets of the potential demand, acetic acid as organic raw materials and investment focus, so acetic acid synthesis in organic chemical research wide attention at home and abroad.Acetic acid production technology constantly improving, acetate production new technology research and development is on the rise. Acetic acid synthesis technology to date major carbonylation of methanol synthesis method, the direct oxidation of ethylene method and 3 by direct oxidation of ethylene synthesis route of acetic acid, acetic acid production process, the acetic acid produced by methanol carbonylation process conversion and selectivity was also high and the lowest cost. World-wide scale using the synthesis of acetic acid by methanol carbonylation process, has rapid growth less than 50kt/a from the 1960 ’s to present more than 1.0Mt.The article is about the preliminarily design of the recovery section of methanol carbonylation acetate workshop around 200000 tons annual.According to the requirements and process for synthesis of acetic acid at home and abroad to find, ultimately determined the optimum programme.
