The body girth size is an important basis for garment design and manufacture, and the body measurement technology developed from manual measurement gradually to two-dimensional image and three-dimensional automatic measurement. The data values of the body circumference size in the two-dimensional image measurement are not directly available. Light, time and other factors affect the stability of the three-dimensional automatic measuring device: the scanned point cloud be blurry and the sectional graphics could distort. Based on the above problems, the paper classified the body shape constraint to the existing size and the type of clothes, collected point coordinates of the human body circumference curves, and established the mathematical model of the female body girth standard curves.Firstly, the paper selected the 210 healthy young women, college students, as experimental objects, and gained the data of the body height, bust, waist, hip and other parts. Make descriptive analysis and multiple correlation analysis of the body type index and various parts and extract the major body type index. Make cluster analysis of the two type index and height, bust, waist, hip, and get the type classification.Then, the body girth curves coordinate points could be gained of the samples selected in the cluster analysis, combined with the national garment size standard. Select respectively 12、14、10 subjects of the samples in each size, who have a similar body type, and calculate the mean the data values of the body girth curves coordinate point. Get a smooth curve of the point coordinates by using image processing software. Take points in fixed distance of the smooth curve as fitting points for establishing the mathematical model. And then a mathematical model of the female body circumference standard curve could be gained by using such mathematical methods as function interpolation data fitting.Finally, make data analysis of the mathematical model of the standard curve constructed in each size by writing the programming language. It included the following aspects: estimate the girth curve length of the subjects with similar body type in the same size; study the feature points position changes and the relationship between the characteristic data in the different sizes and verify and analysis the feasibility of the model. The study provided reference value for circumference size acquisition accurately and quickly in two-dimensional image measuring, and verification of automatic measurement data in the perspective of graph.
