China has a lot of resources gourd. As people recognized the commercial value of loofah products, Resulting the loofah products are researched and development. This issue use loofah to produce the regenerated cellulose fiber. After preprocessed the loofah sponges by water, cooked in the 60% ethanol(by volume), and studied the proportion of catalyst, amount of catalyst, maximum cooking temperature and cooking time on the weight loss rate and kappa values. The results show, when the catalyzed by Na2SO3 / NaOH which mass ratio is 5: 5, the amount of catalyst is 8%, the maximum cooking temperature is 150℃, the cooking time is 2.5h, electron microscopy observations show attachments on the surface of the fiber reduced by cooking obviously and infrared spectroscopy showed that lignin, hemi cellulose characteristic peak decrease significantly. X-ray diffraction image display, cooking make loofah cellulose crystal area ratio increases. Using three section of alkali extraction, chlorine dioxide bleaching and hydrogen peroxide multiple bleaching the organic solvent alkali catalyzed cooked loofah sponge. And discuss the impact of the amount of ClO2 and H2O2 on bleaching process. The results show,when the amount of ClO2 reached 3%, amount of H2O2 reached 5%, with 0.3% MgSO4 and 0.3% Na2SiO3 in the bath ratio of 1: 9 samples were bleached condition. After cooking the resulting loofah dissolving pulp kappa number reached a low level. The fiber surface attachments was decreased, and the infrared spectrum analysis showed that the lignin characteristic peaks disappeared. X-ray diffraction image display, multi-step bleaching does not cause degradation of cellulose crystalline regions. At the 110 ℃, the fiber solubility was 4% to the preparation of loofah dissolving pulp dissolved in ionic liquids. By dry-wet spinning process will be regenerated cellulose pulp spun fiber filament, and using distilled water coagulation drawing at the same time. Find the best dissolution conditions observed by microscope dissolution. By measuring the rheology of the solution obtained optimum spinning conditions. Through the analysis of the mechanical properties of loofah renewable cellulose fiber, verify the feasibility of loofah regenerated cellulose fibre. Results show that the spinning temperature 80 ℃, spinning concentration 2%, 2 times when drafting can get a copy of cotton type of regenerated cellulose fiber. With the increase of the draw ratio, into the early wire mechanical properties are improved.
