Polyurea is a kind of polymers composed of isocyanate and amino compounds. Aromatic polyurea, the most widely applied polyurea, which consists of two parts of highly chemical activity, instantaneous curing components. Therefore, a special spraying equipment to control the two components rapid chemical reaction effectively is necessary. The spray polyurea technology unifies the excellent properties of polyurea with the rapid spray and the construction technology of curing in together organically, which performs the incomparable advantage in engineering application. At present, the technology has more and more widely used in waterproof engineering, petrochemical industry, machinery, mining, props production, shop floor, sports facilities, and other areas.However, along with the application of aromatic polyurea, it also exposed the fatal weaknesses, such as no resistance to yellowing, poor adhesion and the necessary of the special construction equipment that leads to inconvenient operation, which greatly limit its application.This topic of the research is the new type of aliphatic polyurea- poly(aspartic acid ester) polyurea, a kind of high performance protective coatings, with good weathering ability, excellent mechanical properties, convenient construction, whose aim is to solve the problems of aromatic polyurea and provide the concrete and metal base with a coatings of high weather resistance and good waterproof protective and anticorrosion performance. According to the studies of the influences of all kinds of conditions of the polymerization reaction such as temperature, reaction time, feeding ratio, loading sequence and the special catalyst to control the direction and degree of polymerization, the aliphatic isocyanate pre polymers with good storage stability is developed. This study has achieved the component of resin, which meet the requirements by screening all the raw materials including resin, powder, solvent, and the type of additives and evaluating the add quantity and ratio of the two components between the curing agent and resin. In addition,we conduct the studies on the compatibility of the poly(aspartic acid ester)polyurea with different primer(such as epoxy, polyurethane)、interlayer cling-materials, spraying aromatic amine polyurea products, on the basis of the original research about the original products and the systematic scheme. It also puts forward the systematic coating process that has been applied in a number of projects of waterproof or anti-corrosion.
