Hernia has become a kind of multiple diseases in modern society, and with the improvement of people’s living standard and the extension of life, an ageing population makes the disease incidence rate increased year by year. Currently, surgery is the only way to cure the disease of hernia, hernia repair tablets using tension-free hernia repair is the most widely used surgical approach, hernia patch of research and development has a very bright future.Now the research at home and abroad is less involved in design and production for repair of the mesh.Study the production and design of hernia repair mesh, which help according to the different USES for repair of the mesh from the source. Its performance is designed, which provide reference for the production of the mesh, raise the level of production design.This article refer to relevant data, and combining previous research results, by changing the draw off density and weave structure of the fabric, to design of 27 kinds of hernia patch and weave, testing its parameters and performance, combined with the subjective feeling of doctors, to certain some rules and conclusions.(1) Design three different structures of warp knitting hernia patch( Diamond mesh, Hexagonal mesh, Round mesh),each structure’s draw density which set to 8 to 12 row·cm-1,and then weave 15 different patches. Select hexagonal mesh(three structures), diamond mesh(two structures), Hexagon lining(five structures), diamond lining(two structures), every structure’s draw density which set to 10 row·cm-1 and to be weaved. All the mesh are made of 0.15 mm medical grade PP monofilament, and stereotypes conditions: 140℃, 10 min.(2) Test 15 kinds of patch parameters and porpertys, it included: porosity, thickness, surface density, tensile strength, tear strength, suture pull-off strength, flexural rigidity, constant elongation load(fatigue resistance).Analysis of the same structure of different draw off density of these patchs diversity and regularity in the parameters and porpertys, and try to define the concept of practical lightweight patch.(3) The subjective and objective evaluation of the flexural rigidity of hernia patch: test three different shapes of patchs of bending stiffness, and analysis laws, and invite relevant doctors to handle patch. Then judge the subjective evaluation and objective evaluation of research patches are consistent.(4) Test the patch that have same mesh shape but different structure parameters and physical properties, and study the effects of mesh shape on the performance of the patch. We find more excellent hexagonal mesh fabric patch performance than diamond mesh fabric; the change atlas stitch structure of the patch compared to the change tricot stitch structure more outstanding performance in the same kind of mesh exterior shape.Through the above research, some rules and conclusions, for the production and research and development of hernia repair patches have provided the certain experimental reference.
