In the process of oil field’s development, oil well’s scale and paraffin deposition is a normal phenomenon when the oil flows from the reservoir to the wellbore because of the change of formation pressure and formation temperature. Oil well’s scale and paraffin deposition can cause very serious consequences, such as affecting wells unobstructed, damaging the oil rig and reducing oil production greatly. Although there have been a lot of traditional anti-fouling wax methods, the results are unsatisfactory. Using electrochemical alloys to inhibit the wax is a new technology, and it is developed rapidly in recent years. What’s more, this new technology has attracted the domestic oil company’s great attention. Based on preliminary research works and the principle of phase diagram, this article is mainly to optimize the compositions of Cu-Zn-RE Multiple copper-based electrochemical alloys. In the experiments, we first selected high purity and high quality raw materials to prepare special copper alloys adopting the box-type resistance furnace and crucible furnace, then studied the various properties of the special copper-based alloys systematically. In order to study different types and different content of rare earth additive on the influence of copper alloys’ microstructure and mechanical properties, we observe and analyze its microstructure and hardness. The experiment shows that: When smelting special copper alloy, the addition of rare earth oxides can refine alloy organization and increase its strength, but there is an appropriate amount range. Once the additive amount of rare earth surpasses a certain amount, a large number of other phases will form and this will seriously weaken the properties of copper alloy. The result of this experiment is that when the additive amount of rare earth is 0.3%, the special copper-based alloys’ various performance will achieve the optimal. In this project, the author uses the special copper-based alloys to modify the surface of graphite, introducing special functional group to graphite surface, increasing the dispersion of graphite in lubricating oil. This project compares and contrasts the various properties of graphite before and after modification by special copper-based alloys, and designs the modification of graphite under different experimental conditions, achieving the goal of delving the supreme modified graphite and the supreme modified condition. Experiments show that special functional groups have been indeed introduced to the surface of graphite by the modification of special copper-based alloys. Therefore, the polarity of graphite molecules is changed, making graphite more easily to disperse in lubricants. This project also found that unlike the dispersion ability of micron graphite, the ability of nano-graphite has turned worse after the modification of special copper-based alloys. In this project, through using the special copper-based alloys to treat oil field production water and studying the experiment phenomena systematically, the author finds that the special copper-based alloys can reduce CO2 dissolved in the solution and increase the PH value of the solution through electrochemical action. Therefore, the quantity of CaCO3 and MgCO3 dissolved in the solution will decrease as the solubility decreasing, then crystallizing and separating out, finally forming a scale. But at the same time, the special alloys can restrain the growth of the scale of crystal, thus can reduce the scaling phenomenon occurred.Through the paraffin test with the special copper-based alloys, the author finds that special copper-based alloys can effectively inhibit the formation of wax, but so far the experiment is not perfect as ideal, the team will make persistent efforts to continue this study and to improve experiment consequence.
