Nucleotide is a kind of biological molecules with multiple sites, which has good coordination properties. However, the present study on the coordination chemistry of nucleotides has been greatly restricted, which is due to the coordination diversity of nucleotide ligands and may produce different complex species even under the same conditions. It brings great challenge to the study on the coordination chemistry of nucleotides-metal, especially growing of single crystal. Because nucleotide has important biological significance, therefore, the detection of nucleotides has aroused wide attention by chemists. To develop a fluorescent probe that can selectively recognize some kind of nucleotides, such as adenosine nucleotides(ATP, ADP, AMP), is an important topic in coordination chemistry on nucleotide. This paper has been studied adenosine triphosphate(ATP),cytidine triphosphate nucleotides(CTP),adenosine diphosphate nucleotide(ADP), cytidine diphosphate nucleotide(CDP), uridine diphosphate nucleotide(UDP)and cytidine monophosphate nucleotides(CMP) interactions with transition metal ions,in the presence of fluorescent auxiliary ligands(1,10-phenanthroline, bipyridine or Schiff-base ligands designed in our group). We obtained more than 40 ternary complexes, which were characterized and analyzed by various physical and chemical means, such as FT-IR, UV-vis, Elemental Analysis, XPRD, TGA and circular dichroism(CD) spectroscopy. The single crystal of Cu2+-CMP-1,10-phen complex(1) was successfully obtained in these new ternary complexes, and the crystal structure of the ternary complex was studied by X ray single crystal diffraction. The complex is a 10 nuclears complex, and each Cu(II) ion presents irregular square pyramidal geometry, which belongs to the P21 space group of monoclinic, a = 23.916(?),b = 42.717(?),c = 24.166(?),α= 90(o),β= 92.16(o),γ= 90(o)。. The results in this paper will be benefit for the further studies of coordination chemistry and supramolecular chemistry of nucleotide, which also make a meaningful attempt to detect the nucleotide.
