With the sustainable development of economy, the increasing demand for steel has made steel enterprises continuously expand their capacity, which results in more and more high coke oven gas. Therefore, it is the problem for steel enterprises which will achieve long-term development to face and resolve that they should optimize the high coke oven gas according to the equipment and also solve the waste of secondary energy as well as the environmental problem because of the increasing high coke oven gas. This thesis mainly studies the utilization plan of high coke oven gas produced during the process of steel production and the dual-fuel transformation of the former coal boilers with burning coal and gas. In addition, it also analyzes and solve the problems such as overheating gas burner, coking, oxygen demand, and exhaust gas temperature.The thesis introduces the increasing growth of high coke oven gas, the secondary energy of steel enterprises, which is caused during the course of production and it also gives an introduction of the current exploitation of extra high coke oven gas both at home and abroad.The thesis comes to a conclusion that it is practical to transform the #3coal-boiler in the second power station by analyzing the feasibility of transforming the coal-boiler into dual-fuel boiler and combining the actual condition of Anshan Steel Group with economy and safety factors. Meanwhile a plan for transformation is put forward according to the required technology.It elaborates the design and arrangement of the new additional gas burner. Besides, the thesis makes introduction to fuel economizer overheating, gas heater, road flue near air preheater and safety protection measures.The transformed assembling unit can work steadily under different load and meet the designing demands of different burning ways in the commissioning test, which means the transformation is successful. By running them commutatively in two different working conditions, problems such as overheating gas burner, coking, oxygen demand, and exhaust gas temperature have been discovered. Then, steel enterprises carefully find the causes of these problems, put forward solutions and improve the operating economy and safety of the operation in two different working conditions, which does make the former coal-boiler possess the capability to be equipped with two different burning media including coal and gas, solve the problem of extra high coke over gas and gain maximum economic benefits with minimum transformation expense.
