With the rapid development of economy, under the background of global economic integration, oil resources output and consumption are the important measurement for a country’s economy. However, in the circumstances, China still faces a series of problems of petroleum exploration, oil reserves increase, and balance oil deposits with other countries. The solution is to increase oil production technology in China. In this context, the space A takes self advantages and, and establishes long-term strategic partnership of cooperation with Xinjiang petroleum. On the issues of hole deviation, the project of automatic vertical drilling system is built. In the process of project implementation, the space eighteen faces problems of risk assessment and risk cost control. Based on the automatic vertical drilling system project, three analyses are proposed, including risk identification, assessment and control.Firstly, literature review about the project risk management at home and abroad are illustrated. There are existing content remains to be perfect. Besides, the relevant theories of project risk management were summarized. Risk management includes risk identification, risk evaluation and risk control. Through in-depth analysis of the automatic vertical drilling system project, the automatic vertical drilling system project mainly faces four types of risk, contains the environment, technology, management and resources. Moreover, risk estimation of automatic vertical drilling system project is presented. Bayesian network model is built for the project risk evaluation. Finally, the automatic vertical drilling system project risk control system is constructed according to the result of risk identification and evaluation. Risk control measures are put forward according to the perspective of environment, technology, management, and resource risk corresponding.
