Research On Precision Control Technology Of Roll Gap Position In Cold Rolling Mill

Thickness accuracy of cold rolling steel sheet is the most important evaluation index of cold rolling mill control. Because it is suffered unprecedented severe winter in iron&steel industry in recent years, How to overcome difficulties depending on ourselves in the serious environment is big exam on site every management and technical personnel. The paper researches how to improve roll gap control precision with optimal control and perfect management to increase thickness accuracy in Ansteel 2130 cold rolling production line.It has more factor on precision of roll gap control, including accuracy of the outer additional setpoint, inner effectiveness of screw down control execution system and accuracy of screw down PI controller, etc. Firstly the paper researched to gap setpoint algorithm of the cold rolling mill, including position feedforward control ect, such as all kinds of compensation algorithm, the thickness gauges and velometers are improved to optimize.Thirdly, effectiveness is studied on inner screw down control execution system focusing on the rolling line calibration, hydraulic roll gap calibration and screw down control system. Development and application of cold rolling mill stiffness test was finished. The application method is put forward to optimize servo valve and magnetic scale. Finally, fuzzy control method is applied to optimize screw down PI controller. With TDC system programming and debugging, complete closed-loop evaluation, and improvement conclusion is possible on accurate roll gap control.The research results show lots of more effective technology management methods about the cold rolling mill. It makes management skills of technical personnel get more lifting. Based on the results, artificial intelligence such as fuzzy PI control application is realized on screw down system in cold rolling mill.
