Hot galvanizing is the lowest cost, the most common and the most significant effect of steel corrosion method. Hot galvanized sheet is widely used in industrial fields of cars, home appliances, shipbuilding, construction, etc. With the development of the times, Users of galvanized sheet surface quality have become increasingly demanding. There are many factors affecting the strip surface quality, but zinc slag adhesion on the strip defects caused by zinc slag is one of the largest factor influence on the strip surface quality, at the same time production of zinc slag is inevitable. Therefore, it is very important to study how to reduce the zinc slag generation.Build zinc pot model in pro/e software, mesh in ICEM modules and set in the parameters in Fluent software to zinc pot model. Analyzing the flow field, temperature field, Al and Fe concentration field in zinc pot provide the premise for the final draw zinc slag. Put the numerical simulation from the zinc pot temperature, Al and Fe density value of each node into the zinc slag formation modules of matlab language, following that the amount of zinc slag generated, analysising of various factors on the influence of zinc slag generation. Studies have shown that with the strip into the pot and zinc liquid temperature rise, zinc slag generation gradually reduce; have a small effort of the temperature of zinc ingot, the heater power, Al dissipative quantity in zinc ingot, zinc ingot join position, strip speed and the strip width.Through research, this paper reduce the generation of zinc slag through the way of increasing the temperature of strip into the pot and zinc liquid. Studies have shown that reducing the generation of zinc slag by improving 5℃ : 7℃ in 460℃ zinc liquid and improving 2℃ : 4℃in 475℃ strip into the pot is effective; when zinc liquid temperature of 467 ℃ and the strip temperature into the pot of 479 ℃, the zinc pot and strip near the zinc slag reduction is the most reasonable, provides a theoretical guidance.
