According to reports, 20% of the total energy consumption of the world’s energy is electricity for lighting. But the lighting device only translate 10% of electric energy into lighting. So the development of the environmentally friendly, efficient, low-energy lighting device has become the mainstream of the technology development direction.Following the incandescent and fluorescent lamps, LED is a lighting device which the power LED based on the semiconductor lighting. Because it has low energy consumption, high luminous efficiency, solid structure, stable performance, long use time, pro-environment and other features, and considered the core of the future lighting device of the world.It is reported,the industrialization of our country’s high-power LED has reached the international advanced level, and electronics package is achieved mass production. But the packaging materials and technology fall behind the foreign. Most of the core patents and technology of the LED package is monopolized by foreign. The LED packaging of the high-power and high-performance materials need be imported from abroad. Therefore, it is important to research and develop the high-power, high-performance packaging material.In order to increase the optical and mechanical properties of the polyorganosiloxane, we use hydrosilylation method, and phenyl group is introduced into the polyorganosiloxane. It is divided into two parts in the paper:1. H2PtCl6·6 H2O as catalysts for the hydrosilylation of styrene and containing hydrogen silicone oil to prepare phenyl polyorganosiloxane, and research the factors that affect the reaction.Through single factor experiment systematically studied factors solvent, reaction temperature, catalyst content, reaction time, feed ratio and feeding sequence, etc.on the reaction. We study polymer structure, characteristic groups, and relative molecular weight and distribution by FT-IR、NMR and GPC, etc.2. In order to further research and master the phenyl polyorganosiloxane of the performance,we cure the phenyl polyorganosiloxane with the vinyl silicone oil. The optical properties were studied by testing the light transmittance and the refractive index, the light transmittance is is greater than 81%,the refractive index is greater than 1.5;by thermal gravimetric analysis, we found the sample was almost no loss in 0215℃, it has good thermal stability.
