Dynamic analysis of and compressor and venting system in the natural gas processing plant is mainly composed of two parts. One aspect is the dynamic study of the torch in the venting system, and its purpose is to design a pipe clamp layout programs to prevent excessive pipe vibrations which have an impact on production safety. The main research method is that in accordance with practical situations, the FEM model of venting and flare system is established with actual loads and constraints. Static analysis is carried out and preliminary suggestions on the pattern and location of pipe clamps are obtained. Then a new model, to which constraints as recommended above are applied, forms to analyze the dynamic response.The second part is the study of excessive vibration of the compressor. This part of the study includes two methods: field experiments and FEM analysis, in order to find out the cause of excessive vibrations and take appropriate measures. Acceleration testing instrument is used in the field experiment to collect key data of all parts of compressors in the second processing plant. In the meantime, do the same procedures to the third processing plant for purpose of comparisons with two different sets of data. After collecting data, data is analyzed to get the positions of problematic pipe clamps and valuable proposals are put forward. Besides, a comparative analysis of the data is conducted to gain an intuitive understanding of the problem. In addition to the experimental method, the modal finite element analysis of import and export pipeline of compressor is dealt with, and first six natural frequencies and vibration modes are achieved. Through these two effective ways to find the cause of excessive vibration of the compressor, the specific reasons for the proposed corresponding damping proposal effectively solve the case of excessive vibration of the compressor.
