With the oil exploration sharply, the produced fluid is more complicated,increased difficulties of processing, and in need of improving old process or equipments to reach the discharge standard. The coagulation sedimentation tank is one of the important equipments of oilfield wastewater treatment which affects the overall effect and economic benefit of the sewage treatment. The changing of the Wastewater composition caused some problems in the operation of the original equipment, so, taking some ways to optimize the internal structure of coagulation sedimentation tank has great significance.This paper for the problem of low efficiency of oil removal because of water distribution inequality of the coagulation sedimentation tank, take three ways that are numerical simulation, flow field experiment and oil-water separation experiment to optimize the internal structure.This paper analyze several kinds of coagulation sedimentation tank and analyses the main form of internal components which impact the running effect, finally choose the plum point coagulation sedimentation tank whose comprehensive effect is better than others. Based on oil field 3000 m3 tank, in the ratio of 18.9, design study model. On the basis of plum point,in order to overcome solid impurities clogging the pipes and retain uniform water distribution, optimize the structure of tank. Using FLUENT software simulate the internal flow field and oil removal of two types.It proved preliminary that the flow field of bell type coagulation sedimentation tank is more homogeneous and oil-water separation efficiency is higher than another. Appling ultrasonic velocimeter doppler DOP3010, test the one dimensional velocity of vertical and horizontal lines in experiment device and analyses the distribution regularity of flow field. In order to prove the modification effect, oil and water separation experiments are done in one sewage plant, measure oil content in the different sites of the coagulation sedimentation tank,finally high oil-water separation effect was verified.
