This paper is focus on computer-aided design system for valve tray,it developes the computer-aided design system for valve tray,using Visual Basic and AutoCAD as development tools.Firstly,this paper provided an overview of computer-aided design system,it mainly introduces basic functions of secondary developing tools,Visual Basic and AutoCAD,and gives a brief introduction of the common tower equipments.Then it builds the overall framework of the software system,discussing the involved theory of tray’s structural design and performance verification, it also carries on the exploratory study of how to select experienced parameters though the neural network.Finally it developes the computer-aided design system for valve tray,according to the functional requirements of structural parameters design and performance verification.This system is based on Visual Basic 6.0 programming language and designed to carry out detailed design of the entire value trays,mainly including the technological structure of tray, block dividing, hole arrangement of trays, hydrodynamic calculating and checking, and capacity graph of trays, with according to the traditional design method of value trays.With the structure design process, we will obtain all dimension data based on parametrization methods, we design a re-development AutoCAD system to complete the assembly drawing and parts drawing of value tray through the communication interface of Visual Basic and AutoCAD,which covers layers, line setting, graphics drawing, dimensions, roughness, technical requirements and lists.Meanwhile,at the beginning of data computation for the structure design,the system combined with technique of artificial neural network. In accordance with the large amounts of empirical data,we establish a stable network,which can obtain the structure parameters of tray depends on the input data. It also provides another way of selecting tray’s structural experience.This software system has extensive use-area,it can meet design demands of different models which have similar structure, completing two-dimensional engineering drawings and drawn, reducing unnecessary duplication of labor, reducing the extent of the cumbersome design,it could be a strong technical support in design process of value trays,and it has a certain practicality in actual engineering design.
