Acidic corrosive gases like SO2, NOx are contained in sintering flue gas. Its discharge causes serious pollution to the environment. With the increasing emphasis on the environment protection, the desulfurization of sintering flue gas draw more and more attention. SO2-Ca-H2O、SO2-Fe-H2 O and SO2-Mg-H2 O system pourbaix diagram are protracted by Fact Sage 7.0 software to explore slag slurry sintering flue gas SO2 removal simulation main chemical reaction. From the gas- liquid- solid system understands the essence of slag desulfurization slag out of the oxide ore with acid-base hydrolysis and the reaction of the corresponding sulfate Moreover, the desulfurization experiments have been carried out and the optimum parameters are achieve. To explore the reaction mechanism in desulfurization process, XRD and SEM analysis is performed and the mineralogical components are identified. Based on the dual-mode theory, the impact factors in bubbling zone and reaction zone during desulfurization is explored. The mass transformation between liquid and solid is gas film or liquid film controlled. The desulfurization process is approximately relate to gas film control under the assumption of desulfurization reaction is instantaneous and irreversible.The desulfurization experiments using bubbling reactor indicated that desulfurization rate increased with the decrease of flue gas flow, slag particle size and the increase of slag concentration. Moreover, the desulfurization rate will decreased with the increase of SO2 concentration contained in flue gas. Considering the desulfurization rate and economic costs, the optimum parameters in desulfurization process using slurry are that the flue gas flow, SO2 concentration, slag particle size and slag concentration should be controlled at 5m3/h, 499.3ppm, 200 mesh and 500:6, respectively.
