Butadiene have play an important role in the production of organic chemicals such as the synthetic rubber,synthetic resin,butanediol by basic organic chemical raw materials. In this thesis the plant byproduct C4 fraction of ethylene as a raw material, the mass fraction of 95% acetonitril e as extraction agent, the butadiene purity of products is more than 99.0% though extractive distillation. The main design section has extractive distillation, flash alkyne, washing, light weight, acetonitrile regeneration process. We have used the chemica l software of Aspen plus to calculated the relative volatility, selected the extraction agent and the concentration, designated the simulation module of tower equipment, checked the type tower. The heat exchanger was designed and established the optimal h eat exchange network by Aspen Exchange Design and Rating in order to achieve energy-saving production, the physical parameters of major equipment was simulated in further. In the end, the PFD chart and main equipment drawing of each section were obtained by Microsoft Visio and Auto- CAD software.Though the simulation of butadiene in Extractive distillation process, the heat exchanger and distillation were worked efficiently, which not only reduce the costs but make a significant contribution to environmen tal protection, the study results also provide the basis theory for existing structural modification of backward production capacity and process equipment upgrading.
