Coordination compounds combine characteristics of inorganic components and organic components that attract more and more attention in the field of functional materials. Coordinated the organic ligands which have excellent optical properties with metal nodes can construct coordination compounds of novel optical properties. BODIPY(4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a, 4a-diaza-s-indacene,shorted for BODIPY) dyes are ligands with well photofunction by their large conjuate planes, however, in the field of solid material field, the key to limit the application of BODIPY lies in their well solubility in organic solvent and the bad stability. Synthesis coordination compounds or construct supramolecular networks based on BODIPY may be useful to obtain compounds with novel optical properties.Based on the above ideas, this paper used two BODIPY dyes as ligands, BDP-I and BDP-II, synthesized two complexs with BDP-I and three supramolecular networks with BDP-II. Fluorescence of these five compounds are researched. The research work of this paper mainly includes the following three parts:1) Synthesis/ Characterize/ Fluorescence of novel pyridyl and carboxyl group functionalized BODIPY ligand BDP-I and its methyl benzene: the condensation reaction of 2,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylicacid ethyl ester and 4-pyridylaldehyde result an unreported novel BODIPY ester compounds BDP: 8-[4-pyridyl]-4,4-difluoro-1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-2,6-phenylmethylester carbonyl-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene. Through hydrogenation reaction, BDP generates into water-soluble BDP-I :8-[4-pyridyl]-4,4-difluoro-1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-2,6-dicarboxy-4-bora-3a, 4a-diaza-s-indacene. Summarize UV and fluorescence spectra characteristic of BDP-I and BDP in liquild medium and as solid meterials. Further more, the properties of BDP-I as a probe for Cu2+, Hg2+and pH sensor are also discussed. Especially, BDP-I is the first example which can induced by metal irons to form H-dimer from monomer.2) Synthesis/ Structures/ Fluorescence of {Zn(BDP-I)(H2O)}n and {[Cd(BDP-I)(DMF)(H2O)]?H2O}n. Construction of two new complexs with zinc acetate and cadmium nitrate based on BDP-I. The UV absorption and fluorescence emission properties were studied.3) Use BDP-II:8-[4-pyridine]-1,3,5,7-[tetramethyl]-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-inda cene as ligands to build three supramolecular network structures: {(BDP-II)(TFA)}n, {(BDP-II)2(TCQ)}n and {(BDP-II)(tp)(DMF)}n. The UV absorption and fluorescence emission spectra of these three compounds were analyzed.
