Pyridine compounds are widely used in chemistry, chemical engineering, medicine and pesticide fields due to its unique structure and property. The rare earth has the good name of "vitamin" in industry and agriculture, Therefore, the preparation of novel pyridine acylhydrazone and its complexes has broad application.In this paper, 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone(C12H11N3O2) and its rare complexes(Ln=La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Yb,Y) had been synthesized and characterized. The properties of the above compounds are investigated.The main work is as follows:1. The 2-pyridine formyl hydrazide was synthesized by the reaction of pyridine-2-carboxylate and hydrazine hydrate. 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone was synthesized by 2-pyridine formyl hydrazide and 2-acetyl furan under the glacial acetic acid catalytic conditions. The single crystal of the compound was obtained, and its structure was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The crystal belongs to monoclinic, P2(1)/n space group.2. Thirteen lanthanide complexes had been synthesized by 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone and Ln(NO3)3·6H2O as methanol solution. The composition and structure were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV and other means. The formula is [Ln(C12H10N3O2)·2H2O](NO32, the nitrogen atom in C = N and N-N group, the oxygen atoms of furyl group and two water molecules involved in the formation of six coordination structure.3. The thermal decomposition process of 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone and its complexes were measured by the TG-DTG thermal analysis system under three different heating rates, and the apparent activation energy values of the decomposition reaction for the complexes were obtained by the the equations of Kissinger and Ozawa, the results show that the complexes have better thermal stabilities than the ligand.4. The binding abilities of 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone and its rare earth complexes with CTDNA were measured by UV and C80 micro-calorimeter and it was found that the mode of action was inserting and the reaction gave out heats. The heat flow curve of the interaction beteewn Puccinia striiformis and 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone was measured which showed that 2-acetylfuran-2-pyridine formyl hydrazone possessed inhibiting action.
