Pressure casting is an advanced, special casting method, has incomparable advantages of other methods. With the continuous development of China’s manufacturing industry, the demand for castings continues to expand, the application of pressure casting is more and more widely. Gas easily involved in the castings during the die casting process, causing the casting containing pores, affect the quality of casting. So, how to reduce the rate of China’s casting porosity is particularly important.In the traditional process, the design and improvement of die casting process parameters depend on the designers’ experience, trial and error, which is time-consuming and laborious. At present, the industry has generally begun to use the three-dimensional software for die casting process of hardware design, and then through the computer numerical simulation software to simulate the dynamic process of die casting. Using this method, not only can analyze the die casting process, but also can predict the location and size of the pores, so that designers can modify and determine the optimal design plan in time. This greatly improves the quality of castings and saves the cost.This topic is based on Baoyang machine 400 t die casting machine, with 3D modeling software established the injection chamber and plate type parts model, with CFD pre-processing software to mesh the model, using flow field simulation software FLUENT to slow injection and filling process in the flow field model for calculating and analysis of the effect of different parameters on the flow field.The subject through research and analysis on the slow injection and plate type parts filling process, determining the influencing factors of the shape of liquid metal during slow injection process and die casting filling process, resulting in the generation of pores, has certain guiding sense to the actual production processon the actual production process has certain guiding significance, and effectively improves the quality of the products, for the enterprise, reduces the cost of research and development.
