The Contrast Study Between Injection Molding And Die-casting Molding

Injection mould and Die-casting mould are the most extensive use of cavity moulds,as the necessary equipments of the process that polymer and melt metal are transformed into product,the structure of the two types of mould is very similar.In order to find out the similarities and differences of the two similar molding technology of injection and die-casting,to provide for mould designers contrast and use for reference each other in technique when they design mould,the filling theory,molding principle,molding machine,molding technology and the basic structure of injection mould and die-casting mould are systematic contrastively analyzed in this paper.Twenty eight typical mould structures of injection and die-casting are given,the trait of product and mould design conceive are analyzed,mould working process is discussed,basing on these typical mould structures,injection mould and die-casting mould are respectively contrasted which include feed system,parting line,side parting and core pulling mechanism,thread demoulding mechanism,demoulding mechanism,molding parts,guiding and locating mechanism,cooling and heating system,overfall and vent system and mould bases,the structure characteristics of injection mould and die-casting mould are summarized.The similarities and differences between injection and die-casting are found out and particular summarized through contrast and analysis of injection molding and die-casting molding.The basic theory of them is different,but their filling modality and molding process are very similar;The basic structure components of injection machine and die-casting machine is similar and cast method is different;The calculated method of molding shrinkage of them is similar,their technologic parameters are all described by molding temperature,pressure,speed and time,the number range of parameters are all different;The mould's placement is not same according to the difference of molding machine;The basic structure components of injection mould and die-casting mould are same and every mechanism's function is similar,for example,the form of gate and parting line, the component of molding parts and mould bases,the sorts of core pulling mechanism and demoulding mechanism and guiding mechanism;Also there are lots difference between injection mould and die-casting mould,as the sprue's form,the disposal method of vanguard cold waste material,there are no spring and air pressure core pulling mechanism in die-casting mould,etc. Through the contrast and analysis between injection molding and die-casting molding,the similarities and differences of injection and die-casting are summarized,for similar product,that made designers use for reference in the process of mould designing to get twice the result with half the effort and promote the technical innovation and improve the quality of mould.
