They hope that they can monitor their health and have their bodies treated in time by real time controlling of their physiology parameters. However, traditional physical examinations are expensive, as well as time-and-energy consuming. With the change of people’s consumer concept and capacity, market urgently needs convenient and portable physiology parameter meters, which can accurately check the health conditions without any invasion.During the recent two decades, some traditional medical devices have been widely occupying the market, such as stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, oxygen maker, glucose meter, etc. They have made great contributions to human’s health. As human skin possesses many important functions of protection, perception, perspiration and so on, in addition, skin elasticity is related to not only sex, age, location, caducity, disease, etc, but efficacy evaluation of cosmetic and laser, so the skin research and measurement seem to be quite necessary.With the view to suppling the medical device market, this paper designs a new household medical device, that is, the non-invasive skin elasticity meter. Based on comprehensive comparison of some skin elasticity measurements, this paper identifies that suction is advanced in technology and market. It analyzes the skin mathematic model, then studies the biology significance of the model, with detail introduction of hardware and software design of this meter, algorithm and quantitative research. It proves to be a complete and successful R&D project.At the same time, this paper verifies the relationship between age and skin elasticity with the aid of actual prototype. The test result not only proves the rationality of the design but also explores its further value to other applications, such as measuring sick skin, judging cosmetics effect, evaluating laser treatment and so on. In a word, the development of skin elasticity meter always carried out in accordance with scientific method. It is believed that this meter will have a certain impact on the household medical market. At present, this product has been commercialized. |
