As the environmental protection equipment, electrostatic precipitator (ESP)is mainly used in electric power, cement, metallurgy, building materials. By using electrostatic precipitator, the flue gas dust emissions are significantly reduced, the protection of the ecological environment has very important significance. Emission concentration of flue is a measure of the standard of the ESP’s performance. Electrostatic precipitator power supply is the core control equipment of ESP. Depth study of its hardware circuit and software control system is important to improve the performance of electrostatic precipitator.This paper introduces ESP theory and the development of domestic and international profile firstly, then compares the merits of the traditional power supply and high frequency power supply. For the defects such as low efficiency and large volume of traditional frequency power supply, raising the need of developing high-frequency power supply. To improve the collection efficiency, we can research ESP’s power supply and control system besides improve its body. These can help to enhance the collection efficiency overall.In this paper, high and low pressure control system and PC control system design plan are given. Main task is to design part of the hardware circuit of high-voltage high frequency power supply control system, such as conditioning circuits of secondary voltage、secondary current and primary current, temperature sampling circuit, communication circuit, signal acquisition circuit, then analyze the experimental results of related circuits. According to the various ang alog and digital signal amount of ESP system, PC monitoring system has been developed. The development of PC Monitoring System is based on the configuration software named iFix. Using the powerful features of iFix, we developed a fully functional high-frequency power supply control system ESP. This paper describes the design of the monitor screen and configuration process of the communication between iFix and the underlying device in detail. Finally, high and low voltage operation control、display of real-time date and historical data、alarm functions and so on were achieved. The management and control integration were fully realized. By feedback of the system operation we can see that the collection efficiency was improved and the effect of energy saving was achieved. This paper has some very good practical value and theoretical significance.
