Since the launch of a new round of power system reform in 2016,the state has vigorously developed new energy resources,implemented clean energy projects,and gradually reduced the proportion of thermal power generation.Thermal power generation faces both fierce market competition and increasingly stringent environmental regulations on waste water and exhaust emission standards.As the most important part of meeting environmental emission standards,developing and improving a centralized monitoring system for power plant chemical water treatment department has become an important trend for thermal power enterprises to increase level of automatic monitoring,reduce labor intensity of the operators,improve system efficiency,and enhance system safety level of the subsystems of chemical water treatment departments.Based on the status quo of the automatic control system implemented in the chemical water treatment department of a domestic coal-fired power plant,this paper first analyzes operation process requirements of the following subsystems: water purification station raw water treatment,supplement water treatment,the condensate water fine treatment,domestic waste water treatment,in-furnace dosing,and vaper sampling.This paper then identifies existing problems of the current system,proves the necessity of a centralized monitoring system for the chemical water treatment department,and introduces in detail the GE’s IFIX SCADA system configuration software and its configuration technology used in the centralized monitoring system for the chemical water treatment department of the coal-fired power plant.Using the object-oriented analysis and design method,this paper conducts system functional requirement analysis on the centralized monitoring system to identify the main operation processes such as subsystem data monitoring,equipment remote control,real-time and historical data trend query,etc.In the process of system development,this paper first develops process monitoring screens and utilizes man-machine interface functions based on control requirements of the centralized monitoring system of the chemical water treatment department,then enables data collection and centralized monitoring of the state of running equipments,lastly completes a set of centralized monitoring system based on configuration technology that includes designs for main functionalities such as image and audio fault alarms,equipment operation historical trend data record,real-time trend data collection,and operation reports auto generation,etc.By utilizing the centralized monitoring and control system,this paper effectively solves some issues of the existing control system of the water treatment department such as scattered physical dispersion of the subsystems and lack of inter-system communications,while securing system production safety and improving the automation level of subsystem operation equipments in the department,which in turn provides the technology platform and implementation conditions for the next step of realizing the centralized monitoring and management information system network of other peripheral control systems and even all production systems in the thermal power plant.
