Manufacturing Executive System is a bridge of Plan Management Tier and Plan execution and control Tier. It is the key to the integration of enterprise information system. One of the primary fuctions of MES is product Tracking, but is can only get the information of number and brand about the products, can’t show all aspects of the characteristic of MES and the function of production process Management in MES.Base as a whole in MES, the function of product Tracking can provide information support for other function modules. Over all from the MES, product tracking includes raw materials, production processes, inventory and other links. So it is necessary in the product tracking module of MES to provide the whole process of real-time tracking information.As a modern automatic identification technology, Bar Code technology has the characteristics of simple operation, high reliability. Large amount of information collected, gathering speed and so on. Bar code technology is widely used, such as logistics management, ware house management. But the Bar Code technology in manufacturing applications is just beginning. As the increasing emphasis on tracking back to the manufacturer and field management in manufacturing industry. Bar Code technology in manufacturing applications will become industry. Bar Code technology in manufacturing applications will become increasingly common.The application of bar code technology in manufacturing is more complex than it in ware house management and logistics management .As the industry standard is inadequate. Each enterprise will be based on the actual situation of their own business, make different demands. The application of bar code need according to the actual situation of enterprise innovation.This paper to start from the demand of discrete manufacturing after series of analysis about the problems in production tracking and quality of retrospective information on the workshop production process and manufacturing process.Put forward a program which bases on the manufacturing systems of Bar Code technology. By using the advantage of Two-dimensional, such as storing large amount of information, gathering speedly etc, make a combining between Two-dimensional Bar Code technology and discrete manufacturing process. The aim is to make dute collection and information delivery in the function of production tracking and quality traceability in the MES, In order to provide timely and accurate production of read-time information feedback on the workshop, it also make variety of production information transfer is more rapid and timely response to management, and analysis and use the all kinds of date which obtained in production tracking to provide dates base for other function module, and ensure the production process continuous, balanced, and ultimately reduce production costs.Finally, make summary of this paper and put forward suggestions and prospect for the future research work.
