A lot of artificial high slope will met inevitable because of cutting excavation during the construction process of railway and expressway in hilly area. Rock and soil mass that original stable will be disturbance and destroied by the excavation of artificial high slope. Slope stability problem became one of the most important problems during the construction period of road engineering under the interaction of human factors and natural factors. This paper select a slope at K83+130~K83+310 in liuyang to liling expressway of hunan province as research object, the main influence factors of construction period slope stability is analyzed base on the work such as geological survey、strike-dip survey of structural plane、statistical analysis、monitoring of blasting vibration; obtain parameters that used in slope stability analysis through indoor rock mechanics test and establish numerical model by UDEC discrete element software, simulation construction process of slope, analysis the change of particle velocity and displacement after the excavation of slope, and comparison with the practical monitoring data, the result show that the numerical simulation can better analysis the trend of displacement in slope. The influence to the slope in the case of ground water level promoting is analyzed. In addition, by changing the slope height and ratio, obtained the change law of velocity and displacement in slope in four different conditions. Analysis the influence degree about the slope by contrast of different slope height and slope ratio, the advice about slope height and slope ratio is given after analysis. The thesis has the guiding sense to the resemble slope engineering in the future.
