The stability of rock slope is a key problem in geological disaster prevention project in China,especially in the construction of mountainous area in southwest China.Because the geological environment of rock slope is complex and a large number of structural planes exist,its development characteristics and rock mass structure are the main factors affecting the stability of rock slope.The FEM has been widely used in the stability analysis of rock slope,but the traditional finite element method is difficult to simulate the structural characteristics of the slope effectively.And is often simplified by mechanical equivalent,to some extent,this ignores the control effect of the structural plane.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to improve the FEM for the stability of jointed rock slope through statistical characterization and mechanical analysis of structural plane,mainly including the following aspects:(1)The confidence of the finite element model is directly related to the accuracy of the calculation results,and it is very important to the stability analysis and evaluation.In this paper,through the secondary programming of finite element analysis software COMSOL Multiphysics,the problem of joint crack construction in the model is well solved.The joint network can be generated into the model based on the statistical analysis results of field measurement,including the occurrence and spacing of joints,trace length and other parameters.And the mechanical parameters of each group of joints are given according to the S-type weakening curve equation.(2)The mechanical properties of joints are characterized based on joint elements,and their reliability in finite element simulation is verified.The joints exhibit different states in the state of tension and compression,showing completely different mechanical properties.In this paper,the difference of mechanical parameters of a single joint is obtained by programming,and analyse the different mechanical properties under different stress states,and it could well analog the stress-deformation relationship of joints.(3)For rock slope,its failure is characterized by progressive failure,and the mechanical properties of joints in different positions of the slope are quite different.In this paper,the mechanical parameters of joint differentiation are given by programming.The spatial variation characteristics of mechanical parameters of slope joints are well reflected,and the influence of joint development characteristics on slope stability is deeply studied.
