Study On The Design Of Regional Landscape In City Central Squares

Central square is to a place that provide people with a walk to rest, the public activities of the exchanges, shopping and entertainment.It can be used for political activities, public gatherings, as well as "home" function, and enjoys the reputation of "urban living room". The central square which is the most expressive and appealing in urban open space environment,set public, artistic, display and leisure in one.It is the most direct demonstration of a city’s image and the most representative character in a wide variety of cities.As a public open space of a city, the central square’s construction is generally considered to be the most effective way of improving the urban image in the short term, and thus become a continuing focus of city image projects’attention in recent years. As we all know, the central square as a city "living room", its construction style should combine local historical context,reflect the unique characteristics of local.But looking around city center squares, many have been a departure from the city’s own history, culture and regional characteristics, there is a serious plagiarism phenomenon, thus making the face of Central squares much the same, giving a feeling of deja vu, and eventually lead to the construction crisis of regional features of the city central square. The main reason has two aspects:the first, the study of Plaza regional features which is still in its infancy in our country has not yet formed an orderly theoretical system, making the city center plaza design practices lack of effective theoretical support; the second, it is the lack of awareness on the city’s traditional history and culture, awareness of environmental design as a whole, values to locate and regional planning, as well as the impact of the international style of the city center square design.Rational organization and planning of the city center square landscape design is the premise of the city healthy and orderly development.It is not advisable to blindly follow the largest city square in the construction style, put ting aside their own culture and characteristics for the design of the modern city center square, especially for the design of the central square of the small and medium-sized cities which have rich regional features. In order to cope with the regional characteristic crisis which the construction of the current Central square face with, to promote the development of the Urban Healthy and orderly, it is necessary to study the design of the regional landscape of the city central square.This article studies in-depth the design of the regional landscape of the city central square through literature and field research,and summarizes the design strategy. The main contents are as follows:The first chapter is part of the basic research of the subject, including research background, the significance of the study, the feasibility of the study, research status and research methods;The second chapter is the elaboration of the concept related to the regional landscape of the city center square;The third chapter summarizes regional factors that affect the design of the city center square landscape through literature and field research; The fourth chapter is a case studies section, setting Jinan Springs Square for example, analyzes the expression of the regional landscape of Ji nan City in the city center square.The fifth chapter is the core part of this article, analyzes the design requirements of the regional landscape of the city center square, and summarizes the design strategy the design of the regional landscape of the city central square according to my own survey research.Finally, this article looks ahead the development trend of Square Landscape Design in China.
