Accelerating the pace of urbanization, making the city’s expanding, and the entirewater Xi’an speed of its development has not kept pace, resulting in water shortages andother problems are more serious. Xi’an is located in the Yellow River Basin of ShaanxiProvince in central Guanzhong Basin, its annual average rainfall614.6mm, so it has awealth of rainwater resources for rainwater utilization provides a very convenientconditions, if these rich resources through the effective use of rainwater Xi’an waterissues will increasingly tense can be effectively mitigated.In this study, in order to maintain the existing level of residential building land,access to domestic and foreign Urban Residential rainwater utilization data, a residentialarea in Xi’an as the research object, studies using a combination of technology andrainwater utilization patterns,its main findings are as follows:1、 according to the of Xi’an Natural profile (geography, climate and soilcharacteristics, rainfall characteristics), Xi’an rainwater utilization feasibility, necessity,can take advantage of the potential for analysis.2、This paper to estimate the amount of rain and water consumption target ofresidential quarters collected rain water balance analysis; combined with the residentialarea of different types of underlying surface rain water quality changes, sunken greenspace, permeable lawn brick, green roof build infiltration capacity and reduce runoffcoefficient, theoretical research and feasibility studies, and compared by calculating theresults demonstrate the feasibility of rainwater utilization system.3、 Rainwater through the target cell and the cell was available on the amount ofwater required for the calculation of complex comparison shows that it can fully meetthe water demand and there are miscellaneous surplus for other needs where water canalso be used, and can effectively reduce cell surrounding the discharge pressure generated by rainfall and improve integrated water resources utilization.4、 combined with the sunken green space, permeable pavement, green roofresearch results to establish rainwater collection and reuse system processes and makerainwater utilization patterns, for Xi’an Urban Residential rainwater sustainable use ofresources to provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance.5、 residential rainwater utilization has good economic, social and ecologicalenvironmental benefits, widespread adoption of rainwater utilization system for urbandistrict with considerable reference.
