As the progress of social and the development of economics, the development ofhighway construction is more and more fast in our country. It`s an inevitable problemthat the newly built highways need to cross the existing railways. The most prominentcontradictions of highway construction crossing existing railway is a conflict betweenthe construction safety in highway engineering and the safe operation of existingrailways. At present, the research about the safety of crossing engineering mainlyfocuses on deformation control, structural stress, the tunnel and undergroundengineering. Therefore, conducting research on safety risk assessment and control ofhighway engineering crossing existing railway has very important practicalsignificance.In order to reduce security incidents and improve security level in the highwayengineering crossing existing railway, the dissertation research the security riskassessment and controls about the highway engineering crossing the existing railwaysby the present research about the safety of highway engineering crossing existingrailway and other related engineering and site investigation. This paper mainlyincludes the following aspects:First, applying safety accident formation mechanism and each phase of safetyaccident causes theory, analyze the cause of safety emergency in the highwayengineering crossing existing railway; identify the danger sources based on the dangersource theory during the highway engineering crossing existing railway; according to the result of analysis, summarize five kinds of main safety factors of the newly builthighway engineering crossing existing railway; following the building principles ofsafety risk assessment indicators and combining the safety factors, establish the safetyrisk assessment indicators of the highway crossing existing railway through the sitesurvey and expert consultations.Second, analyze and compare with various security risk assessment methods;considering the lack of historical data and security research about the highwayengineering crossing existing railway, set up support vector machine model to assessthe safety risks of the project in the case of limited samples; test and verify thescientific nature and reliability of the model by the sample data from the second phaseof highway engineering of Shangqiu-Zhoukou.Third, the safety accidents of highway engineering crossing existing railway willlead to serious consequences, so it is necessary to control the safety risk of the projectin advance. The article gives security risk control measures in advance about thehighway engineering crossing existing railway based on the theory of intrinsic safety,and set up the safety risk pre-control system of the highway engineering crossingexisting railway.
