The technology of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular(CFST)columns has beenunprecedented used in modern civil engineering, it has been favoured by engineers forits own advantages. Lots of scholars at home and abroad proceeded extensive study inthis field,and gained plentiful achievements. However, the study of the seismicproperties of self-compaction CFST laced columns is not enough, so it is necessary tothe further study. This paper built the calculated bearing capacity formula of shortcolumns via axial compression test and theoretical analysis of self-compaction CFSTlaced columns. The study of pseudo-static test of self-compaction CFST lacedcolumns with four tubes has been finished, and moreover, via finite element analysis,we gained anticipated research achievements. The finished achievements and gainedwork are as follows.(1) In choosing proper ratio of slenderness, the axial compression with a total ofsix specimens in two groups of self-compaction CFST short columns, each ofquadrated and circular steel tube is three. To determine the strength of testing materialvia material property test, by means of doing axial compression test of quadrated andcircular steel tubes, to gain actual testing results. Synthesized the introduction ofdocuments and testing results, to imitate the testing results by ANSYS software,compare the result of test and software, gaining the formula that is suits the test ofself-compaction CFST short columns.(2) The pseudo-static test of self-compaction CFST columns with four quadratedlimb tubes has been finished. To control the ratio of axial compression stress tostrength of laced columns via vertical loading, to imitate the actual stressing state, andto imitate earthquake action to-and-fro horizontal action. By means of drawinghysteretic curves according to testing data to analysis the seismic properties, toanalysis the testing results with ANSYS, comparing the two results and drawingconclusions.(3) Analysis the working situation of quadrated battens between column tubes inpseudo-static test, and derive the seismic properties and working mechanism of the battens via data analysis, and derive the function of battens in the whole modelstructure from testing results, put forward some valuable suggestions of battens in theactual engineer use.The paper is sponsored by department of education of Hunan province accentedterm(10C0502).
