The cable-stayed bridge in the modern bridge is more and more widely applied. It isan important topic to ensure the security of the structure under the operation period inbridge engineering research. The cable is one of the most important components of thecable-stayed bridges. Investigation of correlation degree between cable tensions hasimportant practical significance for the working state evaluation of cable. TakingJiujiang Bridge of G325in Guangdong Province as the background project, the scale testmodel of the bridge was designed and manufactured. Based on the finite elementanalysis and experiment, the correlation degree between cable tensions and the cablestate evaluation method were investigated using grey correlation coefficient and theself-organizing neural network method. The main contents are as follows:(1) Introduced the theory of grey correlation analysis and self-organizing neuralnetwork, the initial value optimization method for the multidimensional sequencecorrelation analysis is studied.(2) Based on similar law of test model,1:50scale test model of Jiujiang Bridge wasproducted. The measurement system of cable tension on the model was installed with68cable tension sensors. Model test was carried out and the change value of cable tensionon other cable can be obtained by breaking each cable of the model.(3) Using MIDAS Civil analysis software, the finite element model of the test modelwas established, change values of cable tension of other cables were simulated whendisconnect each cable. The correlation degree of cable tension between cables arestudied using above method.(4) According to results of test and analysis, the influence matrix of cable tensionwas obtained. The state assessment of cable tension can be implemented using theinfluence matrix for the cable-stayed bridges.
