To ensure the safe performance of railway transportation, rail operating vehicleswith high capacity and speed are important components of in the railwaytransportation system. Whereas researches on dynamics of the rail operating vehiclesare rather rare, comparing to that on the passenger or goods train. In this paper, thefast operation vehicle is modeled as finite element model and vertical dynamicalmodel. The strength of cart body and the dynamic response of the vehicle arecalculated. The results have a certain reference value on the dynamic design of multi-functional track operating vehicle.The thesis includes the following sections:1. The research background and development status of the vehicle strength anddynamics.2. The Finite element model of car body is established. Maximum stress positionis found out through strength analysis and structure optimization suggestion is putforward.3. The vertical dynamical model of the rail operating vehicle which includeshang equipment is established on the basis of traditional passenger and goods trainmodel. The dynamic response of the vehicle is numerically calculated by pseudoexcitation method.4. Numerical simulation of the2-DOF nonlinear model is analyzed byconsidering influences of the nonlinear suspension5. At the end of the paper, the main investigation results are summarized.
