Flexible multi-body dynamics simulation of the aerial vehicles boom system’s isdiscrete and flexible sections boom derived the boom system’s flexible body model.Itmakes the boom system’s modeling much closer to the reality. So,It has an importantreference and guidance role on improveing the control accuracy and smooth motion forthe end of the boom system;Modal analysis of the boom system is using the basicvibration theory derived the boom system’s natural frequency and its correspondingnatural modes. It makes us much more intuitive understanding of the natural vibrationcharacteristics of the boom system’s;The study of wind loads is an important andindispensable step in large engineering boom system design process. The main work ofthis paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper establish the aerial vehicles boom system’s mathematical model ofrigid and flexible with multi-body dynamics theory. Obtained Lagrangian dynamicsequation and the effect of equation’s various parameters on the system kinematics anddynamics. And use dynamics analysis software ADAMS to detailed analysis the boomsystem’s rigid body dynamics, which from one posture to another posture. Obtainedlevels boom’s motion parameters curves and luffing cylinder Force curves. Secondly, using the finite element software of ANSYS established the boom’s model of flexiblebody, and analysis of the boom’s flexible multi-body system dynamics. Thesame,Obtained levels boom’s motion parameters curves and luffing cylinder force curveswhen considering the flexible deformation. By comparing, results of the extent of theimpact on the system when the structures are flexible. Then discourse the significanceand effect of the modal analysis, after that, Combined with the theoretical basis of modalanalysis, Using the finite element software of ANSYS Workbench conducted on theboom vibration modal analysis, obtained the natural frequency and the modes figure ofthe boom, Providing theoretical basis to prevent the boom accident occurred due toresonance. finally, discusses the importance of the wind load in engineering analysis, Analyzes the influence of static wind loads and fluctuating wind loads on the boom, obtained stress and strain of the boom under the two types of wind loads, Provides a basisfor the boom structures wind resistance design.
