The subject was from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(50705100,51275538). Based on the new involute variable gear tooth thickness ofdifferent displacement, it had broad application prospects such as adjustable gap,precision transmission and vehicle power transmission and other fields. Its dynamiccharacteristics such as stiffness was one of the important indicators of transmissionperformance and its depth research had important theoretical and practical significance.This paper made studies on its stiffness computing method based on tangentialdisplacement involute thickening gear principle and meshing characteristics and carriedout the simulation analysis. The main contents included:(1) calculated the composite displacement thickening gear with the finite elementmethod on the basis of comparing the common computing method of gear stiffness, andcalculated the stiffness of composite displacement thickening gear according todifferent tangential displacement coefficient and get the stiffness variation rules;(2) studied the dynamic characteristic of composite displacement thickening gearpair using lumped parameter nonlinear model based on the calculated stiffnessparameters of composite displacement thickening gear; considered nonlinear factorssuch as backlash and time-varying mesh stiffness and made research on its dynamicsresponse and rules, including the influence of nonlinear time-varying mesh stiffness andnonlinear backlash to the response of the system;(3) created nonlinear finite element model of composite displacement thickeninggear pair and made the simulation study of dynamic accuracy of thickening gear pairmeshing under normal circumstances of meshing and backlash and got thecorresponding law; analyzed simulation results and the lumped parameter methodcalculation results and showed that the two calculation results laws were basically thesame;(4) made simulation study of the influence rules characteristics of the variable loadand speed to its dynamic transmission accuracy about the composite displacementthickening gear backlash conditions using the multi-body dynamics method.
