Distribution network is an important part of the power system, which isconnected to the power system and the user’s last ring, which directly affects thequality level of reliability of supply to consumers, the study of the distributionnetwork reliability issues more and more experts and scholars attention.This paper describes the basic concepts of reliability and power system reliability, amore detailed description of the basic elements and basic knowledge of thedistribution network reliability analysis. On the basis of a wide range of domestic andinternational distribution network reliability analysis reading of the relevant literature,summarizes the reliability of the algorithm proposed by scholars and their advantagesand disadvantages briefly Comment.Knowledge of graph theory, combined with the three methods failure modeeffects analysis method, block method, fault diffusion method, put forward a newalgorithm for reliability assessment in their ideological basis, for the accuracy andpractical way to do argumentation, the algorithm is simple,clear, fast,and cancalculate the reliability index for complex medium voltage distribution network, butalso to solve the reliability problems of different network structures under differentwiring.This paper also analyzes the impact of different component reliability parametersand wiring for power distribution network reliability indicators to improve networkreliability levels to make some suggestions.The algorithm uses the Matlab software for the preparation of the correspondingprogram, and an assessment of the reliability of the calculation examples.
