An EDP driving system in the ground simulation test for the hydraulic system of aircraft isdeveloped for Shanghai Aircraft Design And Research Institute. Firstly, the design requirements andtechnical parameters are analyzed. Then, the control scheme is proposed. In this scheme, industrialcomputer is host controller, HMI is auxiliary controller, PLC as the core of the system, control theinverter driving the motor, and the motor drive pump directly with no gearbox. The hardware of thissystem and the network topology which could communicate by PROFIBUS and PROFINET areintroduced. The schematics of electrical line and control line are designed. The mathematical model ofswash plate axial piston pump is established according to its working principle. The mathematicalmodels of inverter and motor are established according to vector control theory of AC three-phaseasynchronous motor. The simulation models are established in Simulink of MATLAB. The models ofinverter and motor are established with SimPowerSystems Toolbox and the model of EDP isestablished with SimHydraulics Toolbox. The fuzzy self-adjusting PI controller is established withFuzzy Logic Toolbox. The comparison between PI Control and Fuzzy Self-adjusting PI Control toldthat the fuzzy self-adjusting PI controller is an effective tool to improve the dynamic and staticperformance. The hardware and network configuration is completed in Step7. The PLC programincluded the fuzzy self-adjusting PI controller program and the PROFIBUS and PROFINETcommunication program is also completed in Step7. The HMI configuration is completed in WinCCflexible. In HMI, there are six screens including user privilege management function and alarmsmanagement function. Monitoring, operating and regulation are simplified in the control system.
