With the development of the aero-engine technology, functions and complexity of the controlsystem increased dramatically. It has been becoming a mainstream trend using simulation and rapidcontrol prototyping technologies in the design process of advanced engine control systems. In this thesis, LabVIEW is taken as a design platform to carry out the simulation and rapid controlprototyping design around the aero-engine control system. Firstly, the interface methods between Ccode model and the LabVIEW development environment were studied and real-time simulation of anaero-engine model was realized; then with the help of CompactRIO hardware platform, a rapidprototyping of an aero-engine controller was developed. With the rapid prototyping controller and anaero-engine model, the hardware-in-the-loop simulations were carried out to validate the closed-loopcontrol ability of the fuel needle position and engine speed.Aiming at the requirements of high-frequency response in active-control-technology for futureengine control, super-fast prototyping controller was developed based on CompactRIO/FPGA. With afast response model with a bandwidth of approximately300Hz as controlled object, ultra-fastclosed-loop control of20microseconds step-size was realized through the hardware-in-the-loopsimulation of the controller prototype designed, and verified the effectiveness of the controller. The research results show that we can realize high performance complex controller rapid prototypedesign and carry out real-time simulation test research through the LabVIEW platform. LabVIEWplatform provides a cost and efficient way for the engine control system design.
