Piezoelectric stack have the characteristics of high control precision, fast response, large outputforce, and high efficiency, which make the wide application prospect in the field of driving. Ascapacitive load,the displacement output of piezoelectric stack depend on the waveform, voltage,frequency and phase of the drive signal.This paper mainly study the drive controller for the linear piezoelectric motor based onpiezoelectric stack. The research objective of multichannel, waveform, voltage, frequency and phasecontrollable is realized. The driving effect is accomplished by experimentation. The maincontributions of this work were summarized as follows:The research status of piezoelectric linear motors and its application; The research course ofdrive technology on piezoelectric stack were summarized and the design points are given.Experiment study of the piezoelectric stack dynamic response characteristic, which is the basefor obtain the optimal scheme. On this basis, the design specification of this drive controller ispresented.According to the designing requirement, the whole design schedule and technical schedule isgiven. The forestage power supply for the power amplifier circuit design, the research on the linearpower amplifier which could satisfy the large capacity loads, the implementation method ofprogrammable gain circuit, the protection circuit for voltage overflow and travel restricted designwere detailedly introduced.A design of signal generator based on the DDS and PSOC3in single chip are described. Theprogram of modulation of frequency, voltage and phased is given. The working statuses of drivecontroller can be shown on the LCD1602display.The properties of this drive controller was determined. Ultimately the comprehensive experimentwas finished by using the new double feet linear motor and the experimental datas were analysed.
