| In the aerospace industry, KCs(key characteristics) are attributes or features of a material, part, assembly, installation or system in which variation from nominal has the most adverse affect upon fit, performance, or service life. By clearly understanding the definition and connotation of keycharacteristics, construction, storage and visualization of KC on3D model are researched; Secondly, according to the assembly of some aircraft braking, the identification and construction of Digitalcoordinate dataset is investigated; Finally, based on Digital coordinate dataset, the tolerance influenceof braking assembly are simulated using software Vis/VSA. The main research contents of this articleare as follows:(1)Research achievements about the key characteristics are investigated comprehensively, some usual identification methods of KCs are summarized, and quantitative method to define KCs isintroduced. By using software CATIA and its development platform CAA, tools are explored tochoose the candidate KCs.(2)Information of KCs is coded and constructed on3D digital models by means of thevisualization techniques of FT&A in software CATIA. Based on developable platform CAA ofCATIA, software model is programmed to extract and analyze coded information of KCs., anddatabase is established to store the KCs.(3)By using the stored KCs’s information in the database, through Visual c++6.0developssoftware is developed to visualize the tree structure of KCs levels based on Visual c++6.0. As aresult, information of KCs in the aircraft assembly decomposition is described clearly and intuitivelyduring the process of information transformation.(4)The main contents and establishment of digital coordinate dataset is researched. Bytaking the aircraft braking for example, the relationship between KCs and digital coordinate dataset isdemonstrated. Based on the above dataset presented, the assembly tolerance of braking is simulatedusing software Vis/VSA. |
