Distribution network directly convey electricity to the users in the power system. The safeoperation of distribution network concerns everyone. With the expanding infrastructureconstruction of distribution network in recent years, space truss structure and infrastructureequipment have great progress. However in the field of the neutral grounding of distributionnetwork,new technology and equipment has yielded in the course of network development.Now the grounding mode of10kv power distribution in China include neutral non grounded(the insulation to ground system), neutral grounding by small resistance system, neutralgrounding by arc suppression coil system. Judging from the current state of development ofdistribution network, the use of neutral non grounded has a declining trend. There have benew developments in the pre-coordinated and coordinated arc-suppression coil technology.The arc extinction box and small reactance grounding mode have made a preliminary studyand exploration.This paper aiming at neutral point grounding mode of10kv power distribution networkin Fusan analyzes the effect of over-voltage and earth current caused by small currentgrounding system one-phase ground fault through electromagnetic transient simulationcalculation. We also combine with distribution network automation technology to analyze themain processing methods of the route selection problem of single phase to ground fault in thedistribution network.
