Researching Of Traditional Villages And Houses Of Heyuan Hakka Area Basing On The Cultural Geography

Heyuan is an important origin and the birthplace of Hakka culture in Guangdong Province,as well as the Hakka settlement center of Dongjiang basin, in two thousand years of history,formed distinctive features and deep inside of Heyuan Hakka culture, become a shining pearlover the Heyuan Hakka civilization. Heyuan Hakka area is sprinkled with a large number oftraditional villages and traditional residence.According to statistics, Heyuan registered1807ancient buildings and20provincial village, ranking the province’s third number. Thesetraditional villages and traditional residence is the Hakka settlement which formed in thespecific historical and geographical conditions,and still well preserved, it showed the lifestyle,local customs, folk belief,patriarchal clan system of the Heyuan Hakka,become the maincarrier of Hakka life, reproduction and development, as also as an important window to studylocal culture of Heyuan.This paper research on traditional villages and houses through the method of culturalgeography which possess the advantage in understanding and describing the integrity anddynamics of villages and residence.Through cultural geography we can effectively describeand explain the distribution and spatial difference of different attributes of the same culturecarrier, and comparison,classification,analysis in the longitudinal.This paper tease out thecultural geographical features of traditional villages and residence by means of literature andon-the-spot investigation.,through mapping the cultural geography map and culturalgeography data to reflect the distribution of various characteristics, results stick out a mile.The article also using the method of cultural geography,reveal the formation reasons ofdistribution law from the perspective of cultural and geography,in order to have certaininnovation in previous studies based on villages and houses.This paper selects78traditional Hakka villages and215traditional Hakka residence asthe research object, firstly extract the culture gene of these villages and residence, and thenclassify them, extracted cultural gene characteristics from various type. Then draw spatialdistribution map according to the villages and residential location,andthe cultural gene’s space distribution characteristics carried by villages and residence willreflected in the cultural and geographic map, and summarize its distribution characteristics.Finally explore the traditional villages and residential space difference, extractand induce cultural traits reflect in traditional villages and houses by the database and themethods of overlay analysis, cross analysis and other,and with the help of cultural routetheory to explore the propagation path of Hakka culture in Heyuan province and theirmechanism of action.
