Decorative Arts Research Of Gannan Hakka Traditional Houses

Hakka Enclosed Houses is very unique in Chinese traditional house architecturehistory. Its architectural decoration art is an important part of traditional aesthetics.It carries Hakka traditional folk, geographical and social cultural, and has bothmaterial and spirit functions. Decoration art of Gannan Hakka Enclosed Houses andcollective buildings was mainly researched in this paper, by studying Hakka origin,composing and development tendency, based on existing Gannan Hakka EnclosedHouses, combining with natural environment, social economy, cultural characteristicsof the area, and Hakka buildings decoration arts were analyzed and summarized bythe architectural space layout, pattern and technique of expression, the interfacedecoration and color configuration, decorative theme, and furnishings art. Based ondetailed investigation and analysis of two typical traditional Hakka houses,Guanxixinwei and Wushiwei, in Longnan town of Gannan city, Gannan Hakkaarchitecture decoration art characters were explored. Characteristics and culturalconnotation of indoor decorative art of Gannan Hakka houses as well as decorativefeatures under the influence of Hakka culture were analyzed and discussed, and thedecorative patterns arts and spirits were also explained. So we should deeply knowthe history and cultural value of Hakka houses, promote the reference anddevelopment of traditional architectural decoration in the modern decorative art, andaccelerate protection, inheritance and development of Chinese traditional houses anddecorative as well as regional traditional culture.
