On-board ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a multi-channel high-speed ground penetrating radar(GPR) is installed on the operation of trains to test the existing railway roadbed, the result is fast,nondestructive, high efficiency, accurate characteristics, to meet the needs of both the railway subgradedetection, vehicle-mounted radar detection both railway roadbed disease study has important academicvalue and practical significance.In this paper, a lot of railway roadbed NDT and on-board ground penetrating radar (GPR), on thebasis of relevant information, the vehicle ground penetrating radar (GPR) applied to railway roadbednondestructive testing theory and application technology are analyzed.The main research content is as follows:1. Based on the analysis of on-board application based on the current situation of the development ofground penetrating radar (GPR) to detect, summarizes the vehicle ground penetrating radar (GPR)application in railway subgrade nondestructive testing of characteristics, advantages, problems anddevelopment trend.2. Based on vehicle ground penetrating radar (GPR) is the basic theory of railway roadbednondestructive testing, the structure of the medium wave propagating characteristics are analyzed.3. To clear understanding of various roadbed diseases GPR image characteristics of the model, usingnumerical simulation method of layered media, rectangular and circular medium of medium, groove modeland other several common geoelectric model for forward calculation.4. Research shows that the vehicle ground penetrating radar (GPR) for both the main railway roadbeddiseases census of the mud pumping in subgrade and roadbed subsidence; In addition, according to theballast bed and bed of dielectric constant can be divided smudgy degree and ballast bed soil condition,thickness and ballast bed thickness calculation.Based on the actual testing of railway roadbed, confirmed that the vehicle ground penetrating radar(GPR) application in railway roadbed NDT is feasible and effective.
