After decades of development, the ultrasonic diagnosis technology become more maturein our country, Type B ultrasound diagnostic equipment application has been used in manyfields. In our country there are large number of patients have bladder disease, the doctorallmostly use B ultrasound to diagnose the bladder diseases. Traditional B ultrasonicdiagnostic equipment is a comprehensive diagnostic instrument, and it has a high cost, if youwant to use it,you must have the professional training,so these factor greatly increased thecost of patient. So the purpose of this paper is to design a light weight bladder capacity testinginstrument, it can not only reduce the medical cost, also brought convenience to the patientand medical staff.Through the study of ultrasonic echo imaging, we use the ultrasonic echo imagingprinciple to build the bladder capacity measurement instrument imaging system. the bladdercapacity measurement instrument is accomplished through a series of signal processing, Ituse the ultrasonic probe to transmit and receive ultrasound,then the echo signal will be use tothrough the filtering, detection and so on, and then extract the amplitude information, finallythe amplitude is converted to grayscale so they can display on the LCD screen. These stepsare implemented ultrasonography in the diagnosis of human tissue. These signal processingwork is usually realized by analog circuit, it is very complex to built the hardware circuit.However, with the continuous development of integrated chip manufacturing technology, theField Programmable Gate Array can have a higher level of integration and faster speed, andwe can use FPGA to realize the complex digital circuit. Previously, we realize the signalprocessing by large analog circuit, and now we can realize it through write some simplesoftware, This greatly reduced the development time of the system and development costs ofthe system, now the digital integration circuit is very high, so the diagnostic equipmentbecome very small, it can be easy carried.Because simple image display can’t satisfy people’s needs, so this paper increase thesoftware design, it can calculate the bladder capacity of patients and residual urine volumethrough the image processing, and the calculation results can be displayed, referenced by themedical staff, this shortens the time of diagnosis and increase the diagnostic accuracy.
