Generally, we converted houses into exhibition space using theprotection and transformation techniques in the traditional residence.But it’s getting appear of abuse with the needs of growing material andcultural. Compared with Western developed countries, the development ofChina’s traditional residence modification started late but abundant innatural resources. How to help these residences to get the sustainabledevelopment of evolution is not only the future trend of buildingrenovation but also one of the most urgent tasks in traditional houses’developing.From the architectural point of view, we delimilted the area withtraditional residence in Northen Zhejiang to analysis of presentsituation,counter the development and put forward feasiblecountermeasures.From the angle of sustainable renovation, we put forward appropriaterenovation with human and construction in harmonious development. Usingthe conception and techniques to transform the relationship between oldand new and then raise the reconstruction plan in design principles,policies and recommendations presented. With the project—Xiantan Clubin Xinshi town,to control indoor environment, enhancing all aspects ofcomfort, satisfaction as the goal. Making idea into a physical form,which can be more effective and more direct to verify its legitimacy andviability. Finally, based on visitor satisfaction and feedback, assessto the existing project and make further amendments and adjustment inorder to ensuring the effectiveness of transformation and sustainabledevelopment to provide some reference in building renovation for thefuture.
