In order to achieve excavator remote monitoring, the excavator remotecommunication system based on Beidou satellite positioning is established.Communication terminal hardware and software systems, remote monitoring platformand the mathematical models of Beidou satellite positioning are studied.Firstly, according to the functional requirements of telecommunication, theoverall design of excavator remote communication system is proposed, and theremote communication system is divided into communication terminal and remotemonitoring platform.Secondly, the communication terminal hardware system is designed.Thefunctional modules are selected and designed. Power management, microstriplines,and data transmission interface are discussed.Thirdly, on the basis of each module development board of communicationterminal hardware, the communication terminal software system has been designed.Communication protocols, hardware drivers, embedded operating systems andapplications are discussed.Fourthly, the development of remote monitoring platform is described.According to the functional requirements of remote monitoring platform, theplatform in this paper consists of several modules, each module has been analyzedand designed.Finally, according to the accuracy requirements of excavator positioning, Themathematical models of Beidou positioning algorithm and BD2/GPS dual systemjoint positioning algorithm are analyzed.And then the determinants of positioningerrors are deduced to determine the positioning method of high positioning accuracy,verified by experiment.Experimental results show that the excavator remote communication systembased on Beidou satellite positioning can be effective remote monitoring. When usingBD2/GPS dual system joint positioning, the positioning accuracy is higher. And compared with traditional communication terminal, the standby time of excavatorcommunication terminal in this paper is longer.
