Vanes are the important components of steam turbine. Its processing quality has adirect impact on the efficiency and reliability of the steam turbine, and the temperatureduring the vane welding plays a vital role in their quality. Measuring and controlling thetemperature accurately during the vane welding is very important to improve theproduction efficiency. While the existing instruments can only measure the temperatureof one point or points, they can not get the information of the whole temperature field.The welding process does not get the appropriate control. The working condition ofwelding scene is very complex, some instruments are unable to use, so to develop asimple and convenient instrument that can measure temperature field is imperative.According to the principle of radiation thermometry, built the structure of thetemperature measurement system, including the optical system, thermal imager,computer, installation of protective system and other component. Under the action ofthe optical system, infrared detector received the radiant energy of targets. After signalprocessing, formed a standard video signal and incoming PC system. After furtherprocessing, the function of temperature measurement can be achieved, and shows theinfrared thermal image of the temperature field.For the requirements of the system, developed a set application software used forimage forming and temperature measuring system using LabVIEW, and calledMATLAB program to complete image processing. The system realized the functionssuch as image acquisition and processing as well as the measurement, display, analysisand storage of the whole temperature field.In the laboratory environment, tested the temperature measurement accuracy andthe performance of software. The results showed that, within the required temperaturerange, the accuracy of this system was very high, the system performance was well, itcan satisfy the technical indexes of the system requirements.
