In recent twenty years, with the vigorous development of civil aviation in ourcountry, passenger and flight situation of the domestic airport have changedsignificantly. Rapid growth of passengers and flights has brought a huge challengeto the airport traffic. How to dynamically adjust pushback time slot of aircraft underthe situation of meeting constraints of maximal take-off capacity and effectivelyreduce waiting time by shortening the waiting queue are of practical significance toimprove airport traffic environment, save costs of airline operation and reduceenvironmental pollution to some degree.Depending on the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC), dynamic control of aircraft pushback time slot is studied based on the fuzzysliding mode control theory and using Simulink as the auxiliary tool.First of all, fuzzy sliding mode control theory is analyzed briefly, and from thethree aspects of aircraft pushback regulating mechanism, airport environmentalcharacteristics and equipment utilization rate, the adaptation of which applies fuzzysliding mode theory to aircraft pushback control is analyzed.Then, the whole departure process and its behavior characteristics frompushback to taking off of airplane are analyzed. In the premise of summarizing themain factors which influence the airplane pushback time slot, tandem queuingtheory is adopted to describe airplane departure behavior by establishing models andcalculation formula of the average queue length and waiting time in tandem queuingsystem are also built with the derivation and demonstration.On the basis of establishing the control target of aircraft pushback time slot, itbuilds the aircraft pushback time slot control scheme based on fuzzy sliding modecontrol theory by using the functional grouping of fuzzy sliding mode controller andother functional elements. At the same time the internal algorithms of fuzzy logiccontroller and sliding mode controller are designed.Finally, with Xi’an Xianyang International Airport as an example, through theextraction of related parameters of the airport and the design of simulation process,the overall control scheme of aircraft pushback time slot is simulated by usingSimulink. By contrasting and analyzing the output data of simulation results withthe collected data from the airport, the effectiveness of the control scheme designedis verified.
